This organic farming estate is close to the walled village of Paciano, a perfectly restored 13th century medieval village located in a peaceful, unpolluted and scenic location. Paciano is sister city with Fontain in Burgundy and with Mosman in Australia. There is a view of Lake Trasimeno and the lights of Chiusi and Cortona in the distance. Located in Umbria, "the green heart of Italy" on the border of Tuscany, the property is set on 40 acres with 2,000 olive trees and a small vineyard of Sangiovese grapes, 60 years old. The view to rolling green hills faces breathtaking sunsets and sunrises.

There are few places where you can find serenity, explore medieval hill towns, Etruscan art, artefacts and historic cities, and enjoy great food and the most welcoming hosts. Montanaro Estate offers all that and much more. The property is surrounded by one hectare of olive groves with a position overlooking the Tuscan and Umbrian countryside, located near the historic hill town of Paciano.

FRANTOIO & LECCINO

The estate contains a beautifully restored two story stone farmhouse with two separate luxury 1-bedroom apartments. The farm house, built in 1893, has been restored and now offers all modern comforts. It is surrounded by a spacious lawn planted with lemon trees, an extensive collection of old English roses, a great variety of many flowers and a vegetable garden. There is a bread oven, Weber barbecue and a large private Infinity swimming pool with high-performance salt chlorinator (14 x 6m- 46 x 19.6ft ) with a maxi Jacuzzi.

The two cozy one bedroom apartments, named Frantoio and Leccino, are adjacent to the main house where the owners live. Both have their own private patio and garden. Each villa is fully furnished and decorated with tasteful Umbrian touches, is approximately 60 sq mt, and has a large living room with SKY satellite TV and WI-FI access, a well equipped kitchen corner and fireplace, plus a large bedroom with king-size bed and a comfortable, modern bathroom with shower. Linens, pool towels, hair dryer, kettle, cooking pots and pans, dish washer, microwave oven, CD player, washing machine, cellular phone, and final cleaning are all furnished to render your vacation complete. Pets are permitted on request.

When in season, guests may take advantage of free produce (fruit, tomatoes, greens) from the vegetable garden. A library of English language books is provided in each villa. BRUNELLO – SAGRANTINO – SANGIOVESE

In another farmhouse are three luxury air conditioned apartments: Brunello, Sagrantino and Sangiovese. Each apartment offers a unique living space with private entrance and garden. 

Great lengths have been taken to restore all three apartments to their original beauty, with elements such as wood beamed ceilings, handmade terra cotta tile flooring, original fixtures, and working fireplaces. You will marvel at the views of olive groves, rural panorama and spectacular sunsets during your visit to this delightful property in Umbria.

Brunello (first floor) three bedrooms, three bathrooms
The apartment has its own private entrance, loggia and garden. It is approximately 170 sq mt, with a large living room, plus three large bedrooms with king-sized beds and three comfortable, modern bathrooms with shower. In the living room there is a beautiful wood burning ceramic stove. The master bedroom also contains an antique copper bath tab where you can enjoy a leisurely soak. The loggia is equipped with gas barbecue for easy dining al fresco. In the kitchen area, there is an American style refrigerator with ice cubes and ice water.

Sagrantino (ground floor) two bedrooms, two bathrooms
This apartment has its own private entrance and garden. It is approximately 100 sq mt, and has a large living room with fireplace, plus two large bedrooms with king-sized beds and two comfortable, modern bathrooms, one with full size tab and shower, the other with stall shower. A Weber barbecue is available on request.

Sangiovese (ground floor) one bedroom, one bathroom
Apartment with its own private terrace and garden. It is approximately 65 sq mt, and has a large living room with fireplace, plus one large bedroom with king-sized bed and a comfortable, modern bathroom with shower. A Weber barbecue is available on request.

Linens, pool towels, hair dryer, kettle, cooking pots and pans, dish washer, microwave oven, CD player, washing machine, cellular phone, and final cleaning are all supplied to make your vacation complete. Pets are permitted on request.

There is a large private infinity swimming pool with high-performance salt chlorinator (14x5m - 46x16 ft) and washer/dryer laundry room for the use of guests. All three apartments are fully air conditioned. The apartments are equipped with floor heating system and solar panels.

Guests are personally welcomed by the owners and will receive personal attention and care during their stay. Everything possible will be done to assure a very pleasant holiday.
