The owner says “It was always our dream to own a house in Tuscany and after looking for 2 years we finally found a home that has everything we could have wished for. The house for us is a great escape of peace and tranquility from our busy lives in London. We have lovingly restored the house over the last 5 years and have it finished to the high standard that we would expect for our home. We spent many weekends scouring the antique markets in Arrezo and Cortona to furnish the house and have used all local specialists for the furniture, from Busatti to Lorenzini.”

The main house has 3 bedrooms all finished to the highest standards, each with their own bathroom and each overlooking the green valley below. In the main bedroom there is the original stone sink which is a lovely feature. The pretty guest cottage has its own bedroom, bathroom and kitchen and is a great place for the kids to stay, near to the main house. There is a beautiful private swimming pool and spacious sun deck large enough for 8 people to relax. There is even an area to play football, complete with a goal!

The house has telephone, internet, wireless, computer with printer, Sky TV, dishwasher, freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, capuccino machine, bread maker, indoor and outdoor dining tables and everything expected of a luxury villa. The house is surrounded by 150 olive trees which give produce olive oil each autumn, as well as Cherry trees and Apricot trees. During an autumn stay, guests may be able to pick the fresh ripe figs from the four trees around the house! The grounds have been greatly restored and landscaped and the house has returned to be the beautiful farmhouse it once was. Private and hidden and yet close enough to walk into Cortona, to sample the local restaurants, which all have great food, friendly atmosphere and are excellent value for money. Florence is an hour away by car or train, Siena 40 minutes away and you can take the train to Rome for a fun day out in the capital and still return in time for dinner in Cortona.
