Sasso Canaldo is situated among the hills of Tuscany, only 1.5 km from the medieval town of Lucignano, between Siena and Arezzo. The property grounds cover eleven hectares of oak woods, olive groves and vineyards, comprising the main house and two charming independent cottages, surrounded by rose and lavender beds. The long avenue and the circle of cypress trees, the replica of antique Italian garden complete with pergola and goldfish pond add a touch of class to the residence.

Sasso Canaldo offers peace and privacy; it is an ideal base for touring, walking, cycling and is within easy reach to motorways and roads leading to the historical towns surrounding it: Siena, Arezzo, Firenze, Roma, Montepulciano, Montalcino, Pienza, Cortona to mention a few.

Tennis, horse riding, golf and thermal baths are in the vicinity. At guests’ disposal there is a mosaic tiled swimming pool (17 x 7 m) situated on a natural level which dominates the valley, its hill top towns and church of Santa Maria della Querce, work of Giorgio Vasari.

Old stone farmhouse on two levels. On the ground floor there is a small living room leading to a large living/dining room with fireplace. This dining/living room opens to the Italian garden surrounded by olive groves. The garden is furnished with table and chairs for dining out. On one side of the house overlooking the swimming pool, there is a lovely covered portico and an old oven at guests’ disposal. On the ground floor there are also a well equipped kitchen (oven, fridge, cooker and dishwasher) with a small storeroom, a single bedroom and a WC. Satellite TV

On the first floor there are three queen size bedrooms (two of them have their own ensuite bathroom.), one twin bedroom with panoramic terrace and a third bathroom with tub. One of the two queensize bedrooms has its own private outside steps and covered loggia terrace.

This independent cottage is situated in its own private garden with large covered area furnished for outdoor meals. Spacious living/dining room with fire place and kitchen corner (oven, fridge, cooker, dishwasher and washing machine).

Two queen size bedrooms, one twin bedroom, two bathrooms with shower. It is possible to add a third bed in the twin bedroom.

Limonaia (55 sqm)

Typical Tuscan stone cottage on two levels adjoined to the main villa with a short staircase. On the ground floor there is a brightly lit large lounge with dining room (oven, cooker, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine), charming fireplace and pull-out divan.

Upper floor: Double bedroom with second entrance to pretty balcony; one bathroom with shower. Electric heating. Air conditioning in the bedroom (to pay upon use). Satellite TV.  Private outside area furnished with table and chairs for al fresco meals. Washing machine available, shared with apt. Roseto. Apt. Roseto and Limonaia can be rented together as a single house and they are joined by an internal door.

This small apartment is located in the same building as Limonaia and is on two floors. On the ground floor there is the living room with a kitchen corner (4 rings cooker, fridge, dishwasher, small electric oven); on the first floor there is a queen size bedroom and a shower bathroom. Satellite TV. Private outside area furnished with table and chairs for al fresco dinners. Washing machine available, shared with apt. Limonaia. Apt. Roseto and Limonaia can be rented together as a single house and they are joined by an internal door.
