Podere Uliveto (240 sqm) is as close to the universal dream of a perfect Tuscan country retreat as could be found. Set in a haven of natural tranquillity and beauty, surrounded by 25 hectares of vineyards producing the marvellous Brunello wine and approximately 11 kms from Montalcino, these are charming stone-built houses that have been lovingly restored.

The estate (Podere) consists of the main farmhouse and a delightful adjacent cottage annex for four people. Both houses are perfectly restored to a very high standard keeping all the original features, and using, wherever possible, original materials. The two houses are elegantly and tastefully furnished with a comfortable mix of antique, modern and traditional Tuscan country styles. A splendid swimming pool (18x5 m), set in terraced lawns, enjoys breathtaking views, and a delightful gazebo contribute to a totally magical setting.

Next to the farmhouses there is a lovely covered loggia with an original pizza oven, and BBQ. This is furnished with table and chairs, perfect for alfresco dining on long summer evenings.

The main house is on two floors and sleeps 7.  On the ground floor there is a spacious living room with fireplace; dining room; toilet; kitchen with a long table and equipped with cooker, fridge, oven, dishwasher. The kitchen opens to a panoramic terrace. On the first floor there are three double bedrooms with en-suite shower bathrooms; one bedroom with a French bed and en-suite shower bathroom. An extra sofabed is available on the ground floor in the study.

The annex, sleeping four, is also on two floors (95 sqm). This apartment is only rented together with the main villa in high and mid season. On the ground floor there is a living/dining room with open fireplace and kitchen corner (cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, oven); one twin bedroom (double on request); one shower bathroom.  On the first floor there is a double bedroom with en-suite bath tub.

In the garden, there is a third small two- floor building with a modern gym room, Jacuzzi and sauna at the guests’ disposal. Satellite TV is provided in both houses.

The property is reached by approx. 500 m of unmade track. Montalcino, the nearest village, is noted not only for its “Brunello” but also for its Rocca dating back to the XIV Century.  Siena is approx. 50 km away.
