La Casina is the sister farmhouse to La Casona and Casa del Ruscello, newly restored. On the same lovely estate, it is located a little further up the hill, about 200 meters from La Casona (sleeping 6), and 220 meters from Casa del Ruscello (sleeping 8). I saw La Casina in its original ruined and abandoned state and have watched as Ugo, the perfect owner, gave this house a new life.

High on a hill with its own swimming pool, commanding panoramic views, this ancient house is set on three floors in a very private position. From a paved terrace the front door opens to a large vestibule with old fireplace. Steps up to the first floor to the living room, separate dining room and kitchen, one small double bedroom and bathroom. This floor is also accessible from outside by an external staircase from the pool and terrace area.

On the second floor are three double bedrooms with air-conditioning and two bathrooms, terrace. A further single bedroom is located on the ground floor, adjacent to the laundry. This room enjoys air-conditioning and central heating and has its own bathroom with shower. To reach the rest of the house you must go outside.

The house is fully equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, TV, stereo, central heating. The tasteful furnishings are exquisite and offer a very beautiful ambience. Guests will love walking along the ancient Roman road which leads into Cortona.

Outdoors there are spacious terraces, with gazebos in wrought iron and bamboo roofing, a large dining table for al fresco meals and some open spaces for the sun lovers. The private pool is set in a panoramic position.

Guests will love walking along the ancient Roman road which leads into Cortona. It is important to note that for a larger group of up to 17 people, La Casina can be rented with Casa del Ruscello (see separate page) which can be reached with a short stroll of 220 meters along the Roman road! The houses have wireless internet connection and all three are connected by intercom.
