Nestling in the heart of the world-famous Chianti Valley, just thirty minutes from Florence, stands majestically the Castello di Vallone. This graceful country residence is located near the ancient town of Castelfiorentino on the Francigen Route, once the main thoroughfare from Rome to France.
Villa di Vallone is steeped in history. Its origins date back to the early years of the 13th century when a powerful Longobard clan from the Elsa Valley - the Conti Alberti - chose this place as the site for their castle, later converted into the elegant villa you can see today. The Conti Alberti family owned the property until the 17th century. Traces of the original 13th-century fort are still discernible in the square brick tower and the walls alongside the villa.
Furnishings and décor offer an extremely luxurious and elegant atmosphere with many family treasures adorning the walls, antique furniture, beautiful drapes and soft furnishings. This is a truly gorgeous property for an unforgettable taste of noble Tuscan living.
The villa, with six double bedrooms, is comprised as follows:
Ground floor
Two living rooms with fireplaces, study with fireplace, sumptuous dining room with fireplace and French windows accessing the courtyard, fully equipped kitchen, guest bathroom, one double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with Jacuzzi.
Upper floor
One double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with Jacuzzi and shower, two twin bedrooms, one with Jacuzzi and shower, one with bathtub and shower, one double bedroom with fireplace, bathroom with Jacuzzi and shower and balcony overlooking the court. Laundry room with wardrobe
Separately, outdoors, is the private XII Century Tower Suite with living room, breathtaking roof terrace, bedroom suite with fireplace, en-suite bathroom with shower.
The garden offers a 10x5 meter swimming pool located on the bastion. A winter garden offers an enjoyable place for relaxation and just meditating on life. There is a chapel from XIII century in the garden. Services: Air conditioning, telephone, fax, satellite TV, safe.
Guests are offered a welcome dinner on arrival and a maid is at your service 6 days a week to prepare breakfast and five hours of domestic service (bedrooms and bathrooms).
Consecrated chapel on the estate. The caretakers live on the premises in their own apartment, privately from guests.

Includes welcome dinner, weekly change of linen, service of continental breakfast x 6 days (8.30 - 12.00 except Sunday but available upon request at an extra cost of Eu 8/hour). The breakfast includes coffee, tea, milk, bread, toast, biscuits, marmalade, fruit juice, yoghurt, cereal and eggs. Maid service for cleaning of your rooms 7 days per week between 9 - 12 a.m included. Other hours may be arranged.
