Just 12 km from Siracusa along a tranquil and attractive beach called Fanusa, looking onto the blue Ionian Sea, Villa Marco Polo is a front row beach front property. At the bottom of the fenced garden is a pebbly beach with low rocky outcrops. This is a wonderful spot for enjoying refreshing dips in the blue sea, fishing or crabbing. It is a quiet pleasant neighbourhood, with little shops, restaurants and other amenities just 2 km away.

The exterior of this villa is typical of the simple seaside houses of this area and the interiors are most charming, spacious and well-furnished in a refined modern style. There is a very large covered terrace veranda across the front of the house furnished for al fresco dining and looking onto the garden and the sea.

There is also a large covered portico at the front entrance and parking inside the security gates. The house is equipped with security alarm system.

Entry is into a very large living-dining room with fireplace and an open plan kitchen to one side with breakfast bar. Both the living room and kitchen open to the front terrace through French doors. The sleeping accommodation is in one queen size bedroom opening to the front terrace, a bathroom with tub, one queensize bedroom with extra single bed, one twin bedroom with extra single bed and a second bathroom with shower.

I liked this house a lot and found the decor in cool tones of pink and apple green most inviting and pleasant. It is a 10 minute drive to Siracusa. TV, security system, washing machine.
