Le Marche is still a wonderfully unspoilt area of Italy. The two farmhouses which make up the estate of Case Finucane are in the so called 'Golden Triangle' area of the southern Marche (between Amandola, Sarnano and San Ginesio). It is a thriving rural area with rolling hills and ancient hilltop towns. We think it is far more stunning than Tuscany and yet is unspoilt by mass tourism. At the same time there are good shops and great leisure facilities.

The property itself is in a unique position surrounded by fields and woods, utterly peaceful and at the end of a country lane with no other houses nearby. Get in the car and it is only 5/10 minutes drive to Sarnano with its shops and restaurants. The 180+ degree views of the Sibillini mountains, the countryside of Le Marche and medieval hilltop villages are breathtaking. The Marche is one of Italy's shoe and leather goods producing areas so if you want some factory priced Tods, this is the place to go.

These two beautiful farmhouses are conveniently located close to Sarnano (about 3 kms), a charming and fairly large town of the Marche offering all services.  The surrounding area is beautiful, with perfect medieval hilltop towns, friendly people and few tourists.

The two houses are close to each other at the end of a dirt road.  Peace and quiet are guaranteed as there are no other houses around. The tranquility and silence are broken only the birdsong and the buzz of cicadas.  Guests enjoy wonderful panoramic views of the Sibillini mountains, right round to Gualdo and San Ginesio sitting in their hilltop positions.

Casa Della Marchesa
Sleeps 9
The lower house is called Casa della Marchesa as it was reputedly built for a noble woman in 18th century.  It has a private chapel with an altar (and some badly restored frescos).  The house has been fully restored and everything is brand new.  There are terracotta floors and all the old ceiling beams which enhance the charm of the interiors.  Furnishings are delightful with good use of colour, excellent artwork decorating the rooms and handmade curtains.

On the ground floor we find an entrance hall, a large living room with a fireplace, three sofas and TV, DVD player and stereo; a separate living room, a large kitchen with a double oven, 5-burner cooker, 2 fridges (1 large one with freezer, 1 smaller one for drinks), many cupboards and a table seating 12 people.  Also on the ground floor is a queensize bedroom, a twin bedroom and a room with a single bed.  There is a bathroom on the ground floor with a shower and also a separate laundry room.  On the first floor is a very large master bedroom, a large master bathroom with a shower, tub and double washbasins.  There is further large queensize bedroom and a further bathroom with a shower.  Outside are terraces and a pergola with a table to sit 14 people.

Casa Luisa
Sleeps 8
The upper house is Casa Luisa. This house is 19th century. The floors on the ground floor are terracotta and upstairs there is wooden parquet flooring. All the old ceiling beams have been retained. It has four bedrooms and three bathrooms and can sleep 8 in comfort. One of the double bedrooms has an extra single bed bringing the total number up to 9.

The ground floor is comprised of:
Two interconnecting living rooms with sofas, TV and DVD player and stereo.
Large dining room with a table seating 12 and open fireplace.
Kitchen with oven, hob, large fridge and dishwasher.
Bathroom with shower, bidet, WC and basin.
Separate laundry room.

Upstairs we find a large queensize bedroom with bathroom en suite and extra single bed. Further large queensize bedroom, two twin bedded rooms and further bathroom with bath, shower, bidet, WC and basin.

There are outside terraces and teak dining furniture seating 10/12 for al fresco meals whilst enjoying the spectacular views.

Both houses are surrounded by grass and mature shrubs/trees.  Beyond that are 15 hectares of wild flower fields and groves of fruit and walnut trees.  Pathways have been created in the fields for walking, and there are woods behind the house.

Guests will enjoy a brand new 14 x 6 meter pool surrounded by a terrace with loungers and umbrellas.  The views from the pool are spectacular.

Facilities:  Linen and bath towels provided, Cook can be provided on request, Garden Furniture,  BBQ, TV, DVD, Stereo , Washing Machine , Dishwasher , Cot, Highchair, Central heating (charged separately in winter). There is an English speaking cleaner & gardener/pool man.
