| Villa Rubi is a picturesque villa which has undergone excellent restoration. It is furnished in a very charming style and features a private landing stage, manicured lawns and a view that only a few houses have to offer. It is situated near Orta San Giulio (1500 m) where you will find a wide range of shops and good restaurants. Behind the house there is the lively road bordering Lake Orta. A manicured green lawn with view of San Giulio Island extends from your little villa to the lake. A private swimming pool ( 5x10 ) is set in the lovely garden. Villa Rubi has two floors. First floor: an entrance hall, accessible from the rear garden (6 steps), leads into a bright living room with large fireplace (cannot be used). TV SAT, DVD, VCR. The dining area with table which seats eight offers wonderful views of the lake and gives access to the stairs leading to the garden. Behind the dining room there is the small fully equipped kitchen. This floor also has a double bedroom and a twin bedroom (this one with lake view). One bathroom with Jacuzzi tub and washing machine. The beds of the twin bedroom can’t be fitted as one double. On the ground floor an additional large living room gives direct access to the garden. On this same floor there is a bathroom (shower) and a kitchen (gas range, fridge). The two floors are not connected from the interior. Villa Rubi sleeps 4 people; upon request and owner’s approval a 5th person can be accommodated if not older than 8 y.o. In this case the extra bed will be added downstairs. Outside there is a patio and a lovely garden with outdoor furnishing. The boat club where you can hire boats or have your own boat moored is very close to Villa Rubi. The views are incredible with a backdrop of snow-capped mountains, the S.Giulio Island and the blue lake with white sailing boats. A parking space is available. The property is of high quality with nicely furnished rooms and every comfort. The villa is not suitable to people with walking difficulties. The owner bought a garage in the centre of Orta San Giulio, the nearby village, which is available for the guests of Villa Rubi when they want to go shopping in Orta San Giulio and do not worry about the parking. LAKE ORTA Thanks to the quiet beauty of the landscape, its fascinating history and its wealth of artistic treasures - principally Romanesque and Baroque architecture. Lake Orta has long been the destination of poets, artists and writers. Orta SanGiulio is a charming medieval village on the shores of lake Orta with wonderful palaces and lanes that lead to the ancient square facing the lake where the 16th century Palazzotto stands as a gem of design. San Giulio Island lies on the shores of the lake and it is the residence of a convent of nuns belonging to an enclosed order. On the island there is the Basilica of San Giulio, richly decorated with frescoes.
