Villa Ridente is a charming villa built in the country Liberty style with equally charming decorating and furnishings. It may fall short of a "deluxe" rating due to the lack of some renovations (although plumbing and appliances work well), but its location, garden, views, space and antique furnishings make this villa an excellent choice for a party of seven.

Situated on the west shore of Lake Como just 16 km from the town of Como in Pognana, the villa occupies three floors and offers spectacular views of the lake. The very convenient position close to the vibrant and well to do city of Como allows excellent access to all parts of the lake by ferry. The tiny lakeside village is within a short walk and there you will find a post office, the grocery shop and café.

On the ground floor are the sitting room, the dining room with fireplace and a kitchen at the rear. The first floor has two bedrooms one double and one twin and a bathroom (shower). Two more double bedrooms plus another separate bathroom (with small bathtub) are situated on the second floor. All the bedrooms have open views over the blue lake. Furnishings throughout create an authentic family atmosphere and are simple and comfortable.

Please note: to access the villa one needs to park the car on the road above and walk down a stone stairway of approximately 200 meters to the front gate. For this reason we would not recommend the property for those with difficulty in mobility, or those who mind carrying their bags the distance. T

here is a very nice caretaker who will help with luggage. The lake is then a further 100 m down the path. On the road above there is the bus stop and a grocery store, post office, bar/café, newspaper stand, medical office.

One kilometer from the villa is a sporting club with pool and boats can be rented here.
