Vieux Bastide is one of those rare original bastides to be found on Cote d'Azur. What distinguishes this wonderful house from many other bastides is that it is situated in a beautiful olive grove with a magnificent panoramic view.

The old bastide Provencal was recently renovated to top standard and boasts a unique atmosphere. It offers two heated 20 m swimming pools and a large outdoor spa with room for 20 persons. This is a rare original Bastide Provencal of the highest standard and a wonderful atmosphere. It has been renovated with respect to history and is complete with boule, cave, century old cypresses and olive trees. There is a delightful cabanon (cottage hut) with fireplace for relaxing evenings in the vineyard. Other amenities include a spa, barbeque area, outdoor kitchen and pool house with dining possibilities for 45 people pool side.

Master bedroom 1: A disability friendly suite with direct access from parking area and elevator. Terrace with sea view. 50" HD flat screen TV, Blu-ray DVD, fridge, computer, AC. Private bathroom in black marble.
Master bedroom 2: A suite with salon and private terrace, fire place, fridge, AC, private bathroom.
Chambre verte: A romantic room overlooking the terrace and garden. AC, television and adjoining bathroom with a huge bathtub from 1919.
Chambre terrecuite: Cosy bedroom with wash basin and direct access to grand terrace.
Chambre 1001 nuits: Oriental style with private bathroom, fan, direct access to grand terrace.
Chambre Afrique: Stylish room with flatscreen TV, private bathroom in soap-stone.
Chambre Thebe: Egyptian style bedroom, AC, flatscreen TV, private bathroom and access to terrace and elevator.
Chambre Provencal: AC, Flatscreen TV, private bathroom and access to terrace.
Grand sejour: High ceiling, original Louis XIV fireplace, AC, B&O.

The Annex – The Stable

2 bedrooms, sleeps 4 +1

Ground floor: Cosy kitchen and living room with stove and all equipment. Direct access to the pool side (second pool: heated, 20-metre infinity pool)

Second floor: Two bedrooms and a bathroom. One master bedroom and one bedroom with bunk bed and a separate double bed. Panoramic view from both bedrooms. Absolute calm in the olive grove.

For both houses:
Cleaning/towels/linen/maid service: Bed linen, towels provided (+pool towels), maid service 4 hrs a week and final cleaning included. French or oriental cooking service on request.

Utility room in the Bastide: washing machine, tumble dryer, iron/ironing board.

Fully equipped kitchen with gas and electric stoves, griddle, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, espresso, wine fridge. Separate fridge room for preparation of dinner parties.

If the Bastide is rented for a bigger party/dinner the two pool rooms can be furnished as a reception area and seated dinners. The pool kitchen is equipped with charcoal barbeque, a pizza oven, wok stove and normal kitchen amenities. After dinner, relax on sofas in oriental style at the pool side.

Accessibility
The Bastide has been adapted for wheelchair users (6 of the bedrooms). Elevator between the two floors and the pool area. Stairs to parts of the garden and the vineyard. Security alarms in both pools.

Outside
Beautiful stone walls and large lawns, large terraced tropical gardens with palm trees, olive, lemon, clementine, oranges, grapefruit and the perfumes of rosemary, thyme and lavender. Vineyard and olive grove for peaceful relaxation under the trees. Several large private sun terraces furnished with dining tables, sun lounges.

The Bastide pool with overflow is 22 x 8 m, depth 1.20 – 2.50 m. Illuminated and with underwater speakers. Outside showers. Outside spa 3 x 3 m (16 people) also heated in winter time.

The Stablehouse pool with overflow is 20 x 4 m, depth 1,10 - 1,80 m. Can be heated and illuminated and with underwater speakers. Outside showers.

At night you will enjoy the illuminated garden and pools.

Tennis courts, 10 min away.

A meandering canal for silent strolls just minutes away.

Coast/Beach
20-25 min drive to Cannes, la Napoul/Mandelieu beaches.

Golf
Saint Donat -  Distance: 10 min.
Claux-Amic Golf Grasse - Distance: 10 min.
Golf Old Course Mandelieu - Distance: 25 min.

Skiing
The nearest ski resort is 40 mins away at Gréolières les Neiges. The major resorts of Auron and Isola 2000 and Valberg are within 1h30 minutes' drive. The slopes are usually open from about mid December to end of March. Arteficial snow-making machines. Good restaurants in the slopes. Excellent to go just for the day and return for dinner in the evening.

Travel
Nice Aeroport Côte d'Azur: 35 minutes. Use of car is necessary.
Parking place for 10-12 cars on the property.

Distances
The famous perfume town Grasse with its old picturesque town is only 10 min away. The house is situated in between the two original villages Cabris and Peymeinade where you find the typical Provencal lifestyle still existing away from the busy coastal area. But if you want the Riviera life it is only half an hour away.The mountains are perfect for hikes, climbing and canyoning but also for a stroll along the real Route Napoleon starting some 800m behind the house.
