Nid d’ Amour is situated on the outskirts of Clermont between Clermont and Villeneuvette overlooking the vines and hills. The position is totally peaceful and would appeal to those who wish complete relaxation. Children and not accepted as the owners feel people like to know there are no kids around, even if they have had their own (especially if they have had their own!!) . The villas – there are two – are architecturally designed, just for couples, large and airy with French doors leading onto the pool. Between the two villas is a joining roof to supply shade, so each villa is quite private. The owners, English-speaking, supply everything from barbeques to sun beds, hotel toiletries, bath robes to hairdryers. Each villa has a large kitchen-dining room and a wonderful bedroom with a bath in the floor overlooking the vines, and a separate shower room. The beautiful bedding and towels are of the highest quality and furnishings are mainly antiques.
A fabulous picnic is provided on arrival, made up of wine, home made pate', cheeses, fruit etc. plus of course a welcome pack of tea, coffee, etc etc.
The owners specialize in short stays of 48 hrs minimum, which is an excellent option for those who wish to travel around, but wish to have their own space and independence.
The two villas have satellite TV, DVD, CD player, boules, bicycles, and even wireless internet for those who feel they have to work.
The owner is an enthusiastic cook and provides a meal on request once a week, a typical four-course menu with wine at a cost of 30 Euros each. Wine is stocked in each Nid d’Amour and guests can drink it while they are there and pay for it on departure. A typical price is around 6 Euros per bottle. A bread shop is within easy reach.
Amenities include washing machine, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, gas stove, electric oven, microwave, satellite TV, DVD, WiFi, wood burning stove, heated towel rail. Outside by the pool are hammocks, sun beds with cushions, plenty of tables and chairs, some in the sun and some in the shade, sun umbrellas etc. Arrivals can be any day at any time within reason!
