The Mas des Jardins is located in 'Le Quartier des Jardins' (the garden quarter) on the northern edge of the lovely town of St-Rémy-de-Provence. It is a traditional southern semi-detached house, renovated in 2007, opening onto a walled garden shaded by century-old plane trees. The ground floor has two bedrooms with a bathroom, a shower room and two toilets, a dining room, a fully equipped American-style kitchen, and a living room that opens onto a large south-facing terrace where you can enjoy barbecues in the shade of the magnificent trees. The living room has a large chimney for romantic wood fires when the weather cools, and a flat-screen 'home cinema' system. The master bedroom on the first floor is air-conditioned with its own shower room and toilet and has a hidden 'Tropezienne' terrace under the eaves. The elegant swimming pool surrounded by greenery has an optional awning for the hot summer months and a stone patio where you can lounge on comfortable deck-chairs. The kitchen is equipped with a 2-ring stove, oven, clothes dryer, all cooking utensils, dish washer, freezer, refrigerator, microwave. There are three bathrooms (one with tub and two with shower) and three toilets. Saint Rémy is one of the most charming villages in Provence. You will enjoy the weekly southern traditional market or participate in the race of the bulls and "feria". In summertime there are many concerts and other activites. St Rémy offers also many cultural points of interest such as Glanum, an ancient Roman city, or the Van Gogh museum. Enjoy walking through the traditional streets of the village, visiting the art galleries, or traveling on the many small roads around the beautifully scenic Alpilles mountains. Take a bike and ride around the quiet little country roads. And after all these activities, share a good meal in one of the many restaurants. Saint Rémy is also ideally located for visiting all points of interest in Provence: Avignon and Arles at 30 km, Les Baux de Provence 13 km, Luberon 45 km, Aix en Provence 70 km, Camargue 45km, Nimes 47 km, Orange 50km. There is easy access from everywhere with motorway exits at 25 km. High speed train station 25km, Marseille Provence Airport 46 km.
