St. Remy is a chic and magical town with fantastic restaurants, antique stores, sporting activities, and weekly food and antique markets. You have the chance to enjoy life in an atmospheric location with a holiday in this charming, newly renovated 3 bedroom, 2 bath country mas which is located just one kilometer from the center of town. The excellent renovations have provided the house with new bathrooms and a wonderful gourmet kitchen. The décor is beautiful with use of many precious Oriental rugs on the stone floors, original art works and a collection of eclectic and decorative artifacts from around the world. The front door from the garden opens to a short hallway off which is the master bedroom with its own ensuite bathroom with a big shower. Opposite on the other side of the hall is the second queensize bedroom. The third queensize bedroom is at the rear of the house with windows looking onto the back garden. These two bedrooms share a bathroom with double sinks and a tub and shower. The corridor makes a right hand turn and along this hallway, which leads to the living area and kitchen is an excellent utility/laundry room with washer and dryer and a large refrigerator. At the end of the hallway we find the spacious open-plan living-dining- kitchen with French doors opening to the side garden and to the inviting front garden with pool and paved terrace. The furnishings are beautiful and very comfortable with a spacious dining area adjacent to the kitchen. You can also enjoy are two outdoor eating areas with seating for 8-10. Relax on chaise lounges by the pool and enjoy the Provencal sunshine. The kitchen has all top-of-the line appliances and will certainly entice the chef in you to prepare some culinary delights! The property is gated and there is parking inside. Saint Rémy has a golf course, as well as tennis courts and riding stables. You can also go fishing or gliding, and there are endless places to walk or cycle through the hills and discover for yourself some unspoiled, off the beaten track areas. Glanum, just outside Saint Rémy, is one of the most important Roman archeological sites in Provence. Founded in 300 BC, it reveals a civilization that influences life here even today. You can see thermal baths, an avenue of houses, the temple and the natural spring, and the remains of a Gallo-Roman town dating 30-10 BC. On the road leaving Glanum, are the ancient Arc de Triomphe and Les Antiquities, the gateway to Glanum, standing as they have since that time. Close by is St Paul de Mausole, where Van Gogh spent his last days. From there it is only a short drive through the hills to Les Beaux, an ancient village perched high on the rocks, once one of the most celebrated and brilliant of the troubadour courts of love in the Middle Ages, now romantically ghostly. The villa is also at the centre of the Baux de Provence and Côteaux d'Aix vineyards and not far from Château Neuf du Pape. Marseille International airport is located at only eighty kilometres, Avignon is twenty kilometers. The main road Paris/Saint Rémy is six hours. Rail station in Avignon (TGV Paris/Avignon) is two hours and forty-five minutes and twenty kilometers.
