In the very centre of the chic and exciting town of Saint-Remy-de-Provence along a quiet side street, we find a small and beautiful garden apartment which is attached to a manor house where the owners live. It has its own garden and patio and is kept nicely private from the road with a high fence.

The layout of the apartment is long and narrow with a living area at the front, opening towards the rear to the dining and kitchen area, then further along the hallway to the two queen-size bedrooms and bathroom with shower at the rear. The décor is very charming with excellent use of colour and the keen eye for style of the interior designer owner has created a very appealing and comfortable ambience.

The kitchen is very well equipped and has a dishwasher, while a washing machine is located near the bathroom. Amenities include Sky satellite television and internet access.

The owners are very willing to negotiate a good rate for long stays. In any case even a week in this delightful little house will do your heart and soul a lot of good!

St Remy de Provence is perhaps the nicest Provence village to use as a base, due to its charming variety of boutiques and restaurants and easy proximity to all key destinations. The town is fascinating and full of character with its small streets and squares full of every kind of shop.

It's just a short, easy walk to the village, where you'll find a weekly Wednesday morning market day with an incredible variety of foods, crafts, antiques. It's also an easy stroll for morning coffee and croissants or an evening film (once a week in English!) and dinner. Despite the proximity and wonderful access to town, the house is very private and quiet, guaranteeing a peaceful and restful stay.

A few minutes to the east of Saint-Rémy is Eygalières, a picturesque village now known for the Michelin 2-star Bistrot d’Eygalieres. A short drive across the Alpilles mountains brings you to Les Baux de Provence and Maussane-les-Alpilles. The Marseille-Provence airport at Marignane, with frequent flights to Paris as well as London, Frankfurt and other European capitals, is just an hour south of St Remy. The airports of Marseilles and Avignon are also easily accessible: Marseilles is only eighty kilometers away, Avignon is twenty kilometers. The main road Paris/Saint Rémy is six hours.
